Glucosamine sulphate
Glucosamine plays an important role in cartilage metabolism. It stimulates the cartilage cells (chondrocytes) to synthesis of proteoglycans (basic building components of cartilage) and is the main substrate for their formation. Glucosamine is actively received by the cartilage. Administration of glucosamine slows down the development of already occurred degenerative cartilage changes.

MSM – Methylsulfonyl­methane
MSM is a substance containing organically bound sulphur that effectively strengthens ligaments and tendons, suppresses inflammation and pain and aids muscle recovery and relaxation. In addition, it shows strong antioxidant and other positive effects and is a unique source of sulphur compounds that have a positive effect in the organism, in particular in the damaged articular cartilage.

Borage oil (Borago officinalis oil
Borage oil is rich in unsaturated fatty gama-linolenic acid, which shows a positive effect on the course of inflammatory joint disease and particularly contributes to improvement of condition when suffering from inflammatory joint disease.

Hydrolysed collagen
Hydrolysed collagen is the main protein of articular elastic cartilage, securing its strength, flexibility and resistance. The collagen contained in the ALAVIS™ MSM + Glucosamine sulphate preparation is hydrolysed, which means that it is enzymatically split into smaller particles that are better absorbed in the digestive tract and are therefore significantly better for the formation and restoration of damaged cartilage. A lack of collagen in the joint and cartilage leads to mobility disorders and gradual degenerative changes. Collagen ensures the strength and elasticity of connective tissues.

Vitamin C
Vitamin C is needed for amino acid metabolism, in particular the metabolism of hydroxylysine amino acids and hydroxyproline amino acid, which are essential for collagen synthesis. Vitamin C also plays an essential role in the development of bones and cartilages. A lack of vitamin C results in lower collagen fibre strength not only in the cartilage, but also in ligaments and tendons. In addition, vitamin C supports iron absorption and supports formation of white blood cells that play an important role in immunity and their antioxidant effect protects the organism cells.

Ginger, Turmeric, Boswellia
Turmeric, Boswellia and Ginger are herbs that help eliminate inflammation and the associated oedema.

Period of administration: The optimal period is 3 months. Can be administered in the long term.

The product can be administered with feed containing glucosamine sulphate and chondroitin sulphate. Usage: The tablets should be medicined daily according to the recommended dosage directly into the mouth or along with food, eventually crushed in feed. The product is usually accepted well by the animals.
