Methionone, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B5, Zinc, Vitamin H (biotin)
All these ingredients are in a biologically active form for easy absorption and full use.
Methionine
Methionine is a basic essential amino acid containing sulphur which the body is unable to synthesise, and which therefore must be received through food. Sulphur is important for building hoof tissue and ensures it is strong and flexible. Methionine also forms cysteine, important for building keratin. Keratin has a fibrous tertiary structure strengthened with disulphide bridges.
Vitamin B6
Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) is important in the formation of alanine and glycine from nutrients received. Together with cysteine, alanine and glycine are the main amino acids in keratin.
Vitamin B5
Vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid) is here in its biologically accessible form, calcium pantothenate, It improves the function of connective tissue between keratin and hoof cells.
Zinc
Zinc is important for a range of enzymes needed for cell metabolism, and helps regulate the speed of cell division, cell activity and cell maturation.
Vitamin H (Biotin)
Vitamin H (biotin) is essential for cell growth and plays an important role in enzyme activities which contribute to metabolism, particularly in the metabolism of fatty acids, fats and amino acids. It is essential for nutrient utilisation, and so for the support and growth of tissues and animal reproduction. It also aids the absorption of folic acid, pantothenic acid and vitamin B12.
